KIAA0021 sequence was obtained by assembly of 
sequences derived from two clones. ha00117 retains 
sequence from nt. positions 229 to 3541 of KIAA0021. 
The cDNA fragment was cloned by use of ZAP-cDNA 
synthesis kit and inserted at the EcoRI-XhoI site of 
the pNTT104 vector (GenBank Accession No. AB032066, AmpR).
The 5' end of the cDNA was repaired and ligated with 
the EcoRI adapter (5'AATTCGGCACGAG3') and inserted 
at the EcoRI site of the vector. The 3' end of the cDNA 
was inserted at the XhoI site of the vector. The other 
clone A117-5'end1 harbors sequence from nt. positions 
1 to 369 of KIAA0021 which was amplified by RACE. 
The RACE product was cloned into the SmaI site of the 
M13mp18 vector (GenBank Accession No. X02513). 
Extra 14 residues were present between the SmaI site 
and beginning of KIAA0021 sequence.
