KTU2 (Kazusa Tomato unigenes ver. 2) was constructed from tomato 280,913 ESTs by CAP3.

Among the tomato ESTs, 97,446 ESTs were generated from nine Micro-Tom cDNA libraries,
including 77,515 ESTs from Micro-Tom full-length cDNA libraries (FC, LEFL1 and LEFL2).
Information of Micro-Tom full-length cDNA libraries is accessible from a database KaFTom.
Other tomato ESTs are 175,665 tomato ESTs and 7802 S. pennellii ESTs from SGN.

280,913 ESTs were assembled into 22,684 singlets and 23,405 contigs, total 45,729 unigenes.
Out of 45,729 unigenes, we eliminated 2801 unigenes whose lengths of sequences are less than 20 bases.
So, KTU2 contains 42,928 unigenes.
Average length of KTU2 is 691.9 bases (standard deviation; 424.1, range; 20 to 3924 bases) .

The sequences and annotations are downloadable here.
